Many of us desire a healthy lifestyle...

But where to begin??? How many times have you gone to the grocery store, only to come home with "nothing to cook!" Uninspired you resort to ordering out...

Break the cycle of starting over and over with Chef Ken's guidance! Find your own sadhana (practice) through enthusiasm!

The good news is: It's really not that hard!

Spending years and years in kitchens has made food preparation second nature... but only through a lot of trial and error. Let us share what we've learned in our own kitchens with you in yours!

Each person is different in needs, abilities, tastes, likes, dislikes, and even allergies! So each program will reflect that individuality.

Putting practicality above and beyond perfection:

  • Working towards an unrealistic goal sets us up for failure. The difference between syn·er·gisOM® and other programs is that we look at practicality and sensibility. The key is working together. If you don't like broccoli, we won't tell you you have to eat broccoli to be healthy! Making suggestions that are within reach sets us up forSUCCESS!! What is important is that you can look back on what youwere doing, compare it to what you are doing, and realize that you are making an improvement...   even a little improvement! We have a whole life of toxic choices to make up for. It won't happen overnight, but small changes are easy.

Chef Ken's Guru, Swami Satchidananda, says about habits:

  • Swami Sivananda [His teacher], used to say: ‘Man sows a thought and reaps an action. He sows an action and reaps a habit. He sows a habit and reaps a character. He sows a character and reaps a destiny.’ So, it all originates with your thinking. That’s what an addiction [addiction to white sugar, white flour, microwave pizza...] is--a bad habit you developed. You can change it by thinking a different way, by developing the opposite quality. This is called, ‘Pratipaksha Bhavana,’ according to Sri Patañjali [The Father of Yoga]. Develop the opposite. Don’t even think of the addiction constantly. Ignore it, and develop the right thoughts. As the right thoughts become strong, the wrong thoughts will go away. Inject fresh, new grease and the old grease goes out. You don’t have to worry about the old grease. You can develop a new habit that way.

Whats the plan?
